Gomera, sol de mi vida

Those who know Monadelisa, appreciate her gaiety, her laughter, her openness and ease. You will do the same when you listen to her music.

Dreamy journeys around the globe, without diffidence in approach to any theme at all
it is pure music.

No ubiquitous emulation of trends, no pretentious pigeonholing just lightness, joy and lots of heart. Her music takes you on an exceptional voyage from the exposed openness of an island in the Atlantic to the pleasurable serenity of a cabin in the Swiss Alps.

Somewhere in-between you will always encounter her self-contained guitar-soundand her unique voice.

It really works !

The CD ‘Gomera, sol de mi vida’ contains:

8 original compositions – instrumental musical stories crafted in the manner of flamenco-, samba- and song – that prove a fountain of phantasy.

Stevie Wonder´s “you are the sunshine of my life” in a fresh coat of paint (ac. guit./udu/d-bass/melodica), is sung with airy, clear voice and touches, amazes before unexpectedly but fluently culminating in a coda that alternates between choir, melodica and voice.

Sammy Fains´ standard ‘that old feeling’, is short but convincing with a jazzy dark voice, and demonstrates further vocal/musical diversity.

Many years work in the musical duo “Lucky Dip – the smallest Big Band” with pianist and multiinstrumentalist ‘Klaus Imhof’, have significantly influenced her musical path.

Klaus, who also was her companion for a long time, sadly passed away. in the song ‘out of sight’ she deals with this tragic loss and the song is dedicated to him.
